Suggested Itinerary

Day 1.   Arrival – Vientiane

On arrival at Wattay Airport, you will be met and transfer to your hotel. Vientiane is a charming and fascinating capital, with an interesting mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, Soviet and American influences.

A city tour acquaints us with the capital, and we start visiting some of the major sights, including the oldest temple WatSisaket, with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. 

After lunch, on the way to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph, to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of ThatLuang Stupa. 

Continue to transfer out to see the Buddha Park, an enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures on the Mekong Riverside meadow, near the Friendship Bridge. There are approximately 200 religious images dating back over 500 years, which were created by a mysterious monk spreading his philosophy on life and to reveal his ideas about the universe.

Day 2.   Vientiane – VangVieng (Road)

After breakfast, we leave for our journey northbound on route to Vang Vieng by highway road number Norther 13 of Laos. We reach our final destination in the afternoon, lunch at the small town of VangVieng, which is nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River. Its stunning scenery with a mixture of quiet water and limestone outcrops remain unspoiled, despite recent developments with the advent of tourism.

On arrival at VangVieng, we cross the Nam Song River to Tham Jang caves and then enjoy a short trek through breathtaking mountain landscape to explore the Tam None Cave and some hill villages.

Day 3.   VangVieng – Phoukham cave (Blue dragoon1) – Vientiane (Road)

After breakfast, we start our board on a local tractor through paddy field areas heading to ThamPhoukham caves (Blue Dragoon 1), where your breath will be taken away seeing the most beautiful and famous limestone cavern, surrounded by natural forests. After lunch, we head out of the city and make our way to Nam Ngum, a huge reservoir created by damming the Nam Ngum River. 

On arrival at Nam Ngum Lake, perhaps you might want to experience gambling at the legal Lao casino located in the valley where you can also enjoy a beautiful view of the lake. We embark on a long tail boat trip for estimate of 1 Hours visiting villages in the various islets. We take a short walk to explore the lifestyle of the local fishmen. Continues to Vientiane. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 4. Vientiane – Departure

After breakfast, visit morning market (Talad sao shopping mall).

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
