Suggested Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang - welcome to Laos – World heritage town Luang Prabang (-/-/D)
Upon your arrival at Luang Prabang Luang Prabang International Airport,
you will be met by our Lao English-speaking tour guide and assist with a transfer to distinctive sites in Luang Prabang.
Check in hotel. - Luang Prabang at Muang Thong Hotel (deluxe room) or similar
If you can stroll at Night Market. It is held daily in the streets around the National Museum. Villagers come here to sell their handicrafts.
Dinner at local restaurant, overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 2: Luang Prabang - Morning Alms giving - Kuang Si Waterfall (B/L/D)
(Optional) - Estimate - 5.20am (Laos time): Head by Van to the peninsula to witness and attend alms giving. 5.40am-6.15am -
Long lines of monks and novices stroll the street of the town center to collect their daily food subsistence from the worshippers.
This ancient ritual is locally known as “tak bat”.
Continue with a visit to the open-air food market that is held daily in the streets near the former Royal Palace.
Lao people still like buying fresh food. While fridges are widely spread in households, people prefer going to local markets and returning home with fresh ingredients.

You will begin your visit of the main monuments of the city of Luang Prabang, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995.
We visit The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating back from the days of the early kings right through to the last sovereign.
Then, the Heritage House (Heuan Chan Heritage House) will allow you to better understand the protection, enhancement, and preservation policies of the city of Luang Prabang. Through its architectural heritage, of which the building on stilts is an archetypal example.
After lunch, we continue drive to visit Kuang Si waterfall, 32 km south-west of Luang Prabang. We stop the Laos Buffalo Dairy Farm that produces cheese and a range of delicious dairy products. The diary provides income and a sustainable future for the Lao people involved. Learn how to milk a Buffalo, cuddle a Buffalo for the perfect selfie and try some incredible ice cream. The Buffalo may be the stars of the show, but the playful pigs, chickens and cute rabbits are also plenty of fun for the young and young at heart!
After that, En-route you will make stops to visit ethnic minority villages. Kuang Si is a good place to get more familiar with endemic and endangered Asian Black Bear at the Rescue Center.
It is also possible to hike to the top of the falls via a steep trail, and if the weather is good, you might enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear water ponds at the foot of the falls.
Day 3: Luang Prabang - Xieng Thong Temple – Villages - Pak ou Caves (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel, disembark and visit the temple of Vat Xieng Thong, this emblematic monastery of the city with its typical architecture of the local style. It is the object of veneration and is located at the confluence of the Mekong and the Nam Khan River.
We then embark on a boat journey upstream along the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed In Pak Ou, thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues are crowded into the two caves carved out of a towering limestone cliff. They range in size from a few centimeters to the size of a human. Enjoy lunch. En route, we stop at the village of Thin Keo, Ban Xanghai, where the local speciality of rice wine is produced. Once back in Luang Prabang.
An Option:
we climb Phousi Hill for an outstanding view over the former royal capital and Mekan and Mekong River. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 4: Luang Prabang - Rice Farm Experiences – Pottery Villages (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Drive to a community-based living rice farm situated in the idyllic countryside, surrounded by mountains and centuries old rice paddies. Experience the life of a farmer and try your hand at some of the activities. Or just view it all from the comfort of our traditional Lao rice house balcony, which is surrounded by rice terraces and our organic vegetable farm. All can join in and there are great photo opportunities. While there, spend time in the fields, planting rice or ploughing the field with your own buffalo. Mingle with skilled farmers at some local handicraft workshops like bamboo weaving, blacksmith work, and sugar cane processing. Finally, join a tour of the organic garden with an explanation of how natural herbs are used in traditional medicine.
Lunch on site with your hosts at The Living Land.
In the afternoon, we cross the Mekong River to visit Ban Chan (Pottery Village) in ancient times. Laotian people used pottery for all kind of purpose at home
and in the fields. They needed strong, waterproof jars to store food. Drinks such as rice alcohol or keep rice dry and away from humidity and mice by visiting jars made, as well as the difference shapes that the potter can transform the clay into. Return to the hotel and free at leisure.

Day 5 Luang Prabang – Departure (B)
After breakfast, check out and transfer to airport for your departure flight.
