8D7N Norway Adventure (Winter Wonderland - GV 2)

Day 1 – Arrival at Tromso airport. Airport transfer. Hotel check in.  

In the evening, join the Northern Lights Cruise. Jump aboard a silent hybrid catamaran and enjoy a peaceful cruise by night around Tromsø island. The boat has panoramic windows and comfortable heated lounges guaranteeing a cosy atmosphere. We will pass the beautiful snow-capped mountains of Tromsø and landmarks like the Arctic Cathedral.  

Day 2 – Tromso. City walking tour. On this tour we take you on a walk around the small city centre of Tromsø that has been founded in 1795 on the island of Tromsøya. The city, which was also called the Gateway to the Arctic, has been throughout history the start for several Polar Expeditions. The tour continues with a guided walk along Storgata (the pedestrian street), the Market Place, the Catholic and Protestant Cathedrals, Roald Amundsen monument and the Mack Brewery. 

Northern light tour by minivan. North Norway, Tromso is fortunate with unique natural phenomena, which can only be experienced in our region. Join us on a private and exclusive tour to chase the magical Northern Lights. We have one goal on this tour: to take you to places with the highest chance of experiencing the Northern Lights with a local driver and guide. 

Day 3 – Tromso.  

Choose activity of the day: Select 1 activity between Husky safari / reindeer sledding / Snowmobile tour 

Husky safari - Experience a unique dog sledding adventure through snowy terrain, surrounded by Arctic mountain landscape. Our team of huskies are eager to greet you and take you on a journey into the wilderness. No previous husky mushing skills needed. Upon arrival at the camp, we will provide warm winter clothes and other required gear. Our guides will give thorough safety instructions and a practical demonstration on how to steer your own sled. Dog sledding with Alaskan huskies is an active experience. Each dog sled will have two people sharing a husky team. Along the way, you will get the chance to switch places, so both of you get a chance to be the driver.  

Reindeer sledding - Experience the oldest means of transportation in the North and learn about Sámi culture on a guided reindeer sledding tour from Tromsø. Let the reindeer take you out in nature on authentic Sámi sleds as you get a taste of life above the Polar circle. Upon arrival your Sámi guide will be waiting, ready to tell you more about the experience you will have with the reindeer and culture. You can change into some warmer clothing and shoes, and then you're ready to go sledding through the snow! Warm lunch included. After lunch, your Sámi guide is excited to tell you more about Sámi culture, as well as show you some clothing and artifacts.  

Snowmobile tour - In the wintertime, the Tromsø region transforms into a frozen wonderland. There is something magical about speeding across the snow-covered landscape on a snowmobile. You have views of majestic mountains, deep forests and frozen rivers from your seat. Remember to keep an eye out for wildlife you can encounter in the Tromsø region, such as reindeer, moose and various bird species. Most snowmobile tours require no prior experience or knowledge. Experienced guides provide the guests with good training including a safety briefing before setting off. They will join you on the trip to take care of safety, share stories and answer questions. 

 
Day 4 – Tromso to Bergen by flight. After breakfast, take the airport transfer and board the flight to Bergen. At Bergen, take the airport transfer and reach your hotel.  

Day 5 – Bergen. City sightseeing walking tour includes visit to Bryggen, The Fish Market, Bergen Aquarium, Mount Fløyen Funicular Station, Tollbodkaia viewpoint, Fredriksberg Fortress, Bergenhus Fortress. Take the Floibanen funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen! Check out the spectacular view of the city, fjord and mountains. 

Day 6 – Bergen to Oslo. Start your day with ‘Norway in a nutshell’ tour – combination of train, bus and cruise experience. Your luggage would be transferred from Bergen hotel to Oslo hotel. You will visit Naeroyfjord which is one of the most beautiful fjords in Norway and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This deep blue fjord, only 25 metres across at its narrowest point, has towering 1200 metre high cliffs on either side and many waterfalls. Isolated farms and picturesque villages dot the breath-taking landscape. Experience the Flam Railway (Flamsbana) –one of the steepest train lines in the world and a train bound for Myrdal. From Myrdal, you will continue to Oslo in another train. 

Day 7 – Oslo. Have a relaxed morning and later take the SIC city tour and visit Inner Harbour Aker Brygge, Vigeland Park, City Hall and Karl Johans Gate Street. Visit the charming Akershus Festning, enjoy nature around Royal Palace and Oslo Nobel Peace Center. 

Day 8 – Departure. After breakfast, check out from hotel. Airport transfer. End your Nordic experience with wonderful memories!
