Day 1: Welcome to Zagreb

• Arrival to Zagreb by flight

Day 2: Zagreb Christmas Markets

• Breakfast at hotel 
• Private Zagreb Christmas Market Walking tour with English Speaking local guide (3 hours) 

Meet your private local guide at your hotel reception in Zagreb. Then walk through the old town of Zagreb and admire ‘winter wonderland’ and spirit of Christmas.  Start at the Main Town Square, Ban Jelačić  Square, where will be many stages with live music, play areas for children, cute little huts selling locally made Christmas crafts you plenty of opportunities to sample the local meals and hot mulled wines.  After the main square you will continue your walking tour towards the Upper Town of Zagreb. It is called  “Upper Town” because it is located high on a hill overlooking the city, and the views from here are really spectacular.  Try the famous Zagreb funicular (cable car) that can transport you up to the hill. In the Upper Town near the Castle and the Cathedral, the Advent Markets are colorful and lively.  The food and drink here are also plentiful, and there are plenty of stands selling delicious things of all kinds.  You will have opportunity to taste mulled wine or a non-alcoholic hot drink, donuts or poppyseed cakes . If you have time you can also go inside Zagreb Cathedral with your guide. The Zagreb Cathedral is a Roman Catholic institution and not only the tallest building in Croatia, but also the most monumental sacral building in Gothic style.  The tour ends in the old town or at your hotel.
