DAY 1 At your arrival at Tontouta International Airport, a seat in coach transfer will take you to Noumea (a 45-minute drive).

Recommended activities:

Everyone will find something to their taste on the Poé beach – for example, windsurfing, stand up paddle or kayaking. Enjoy a trip on a glass bottom boat on the lagoon of Poe…

Leisurely walks and more energetic hiking are also possible on the Deva domain or along the coast.

The lagoon of Poe beach, with its 17 km of white sand beach, is considered as the most beautiful of the main Island. The variety of fishes and the amazing colors of the lagoon allowed it to be listed as UNESCO World Heritage since 2008.

Head toward Gouaro Deva domain. This natural domain covers approximately 8000 hectares and runs between coastline and mountains. It is one of the biggest preserved dry forests of New Caledonia and it is a protected area. Formed by plains and tall grass, we note the presence of deers, turkey, Notou bird and famous “roussette” (flying fox bat).

Domaine de Déva has four hiking trails, covering a total of 23.5 km.

While all of the trails are easy to access, two of them require a minimum level of physical fitness because of their climbs and descents: the Boé Arérédi trail (+317 m elevation gain) and the Oua Koué trail (+324 m).

The other two (the Giant Trail and Lagoon Origins Trail) have a flat path, which is not difficult although attention should be paid to the vegetation (including roots on the ground)!
