Itinerary

Avoid the crowds on this relaxed exploration of the Blue Mountains! Discover the changing moods of the Blue Mountains in the late afternoon sunlight and capture the sunset over the rugged ranges and valleys. This tour is thoughtfully designed to sidestep Sydney’s peak-hour traffic with later departures and returns, allowing you more time to immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery and tranquil native forests.

With a late morning departure, you’ll have extra time to explore Sydney before joining this tour to one of the world’s most spectacular World Heritage-Listed National Parks. Located just 50 kilometres from Sydney CBD, the Blue Mountains is a haven of diverse flora and fauna, steeped in Aboriginal heritage. Known for its dramatic landscape of rugged sandstone formations, sheer cliffs, and giant eucalyptus trees that give the region its iconic blue haze, the Blue Mountains promise a visual feast at every turn.

Our journey begins with a quick refreshment stop in the charming towns of Glenbrook or Leura, the gateway to the Blue Mountains. These picturesque villages are full of character, offering a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Guests can explore local cafes and boutique shops and purchase something to eat at their own expense while soaking up the historic charm of these iconic mountain towns.

Afterwards, we’ll set out on a scenic bush exploration as we search for kangaroos in the wild. Many of Australia’s native animals are most active during the dusk hours, making this the perfect opportunity to spot kangaroos hopping through the underbrush or grazing in open fields.

Next, we’ll explore the stunning Jamison Valley, a major scenic attraction known for its breathtaking valley and canyon views. We’ll get up close to the iconic sandstone formation, the Three Sisters, and hike along impressive bush trails toward one of New South Wales’ most awe-inspiring waterfalls. Then, embark on a 90-minute nature walk down to the base of Wentworth Falls—equivalent to 8 flights of stairs down and back up—as you immerse yourself in the lush native forests and the soothing sound of cascading water.

Finally, we’ll visit either Echo Point or Lincoln’s Rock, two of the most iconic viewing spots in the Blue Mountains. Here, you’ll settle in to watch the sun sink behind the distant mountains, casting dramatic shadows over the rock formations, eucalyptus forests, and valleys. The panoramic views are simply unforgettable—a perfect way to end a day of exploration.

On the journey home, we’ll pause for a quick break before continuing this unforgettable adventure back into Sydney in the evening. This scenic tour is centred around the sunset experience, so we maintain flexibility with our return time to ensure you can fully enjoy this magical moment throughout the year.

Sydney Showboat Dinner Cruise With 3-course Menu & Show

Sydney Showboats has redefined dining cruise experiences since 1987, when it first arrived on Sydney Harbour. The Showboat II is an authentic paddlewheeler, with a theatre-style dining saloon and cathedral windows that frame splendid harbour views. This one-of-a kind vessel exudes old world-charm and is the perfect setting for a glitzy cabaret show that takes centre stage after dinner.

A Sydney Harbour Dinner Cruise aboard the Showboat rekindles the romance of a bygone era, and it is nothing short of breathtaking. Treat yourself to an unforgettable waterfront dining experience with the legendary Opera House and the mighty Harbour Bridge in the backdrop! Guests get to enjoy a three-course seated and served dinner that is topped off with a live cabaret show, performed by a brilliant Aussie cast!

You’re welcomed on board by our glamorous showgirls and shown to the table reserved just for you. As the cruise departs, you’re treated to a prelude to the 'Voyage of Love' while you enjoy your entrée platter. Waitstaff will do the rounds taking your beverage orders, and your drinks of choice will be served to the table.

Before the start of the show, you can stroll the outer decks, drink in hand, taking in the Sydney skyline as well as the city's star attractions, including the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, in all their illuminated glory. Return to the dining saloon to enjoy your main course and dessert, before the cabaret takes centre stage.

The ‘Voyage of Love’ is a changing cavalcade of dances by an Australian cast of the highest calibre. The fiery show, now in its 9th season, features dancers dressed in glitzy costumes and headdresses. Get ready to journey around the world — from the scarlet windmills of Parisian reveries, the fiery Spanish flamenco, the beguiling vibes of New York’s blues dens and more. Without a doubt, you will be transfixed in a world of synchronised choreography, mellifluous rhythms and captivating dances!
