The 2024 Sydney Marathon is an iconic event with a spectacular course that includes a run over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and a finish at the Opera House. The festival will be held on September 15, 2024 and features a marathon, half marathon, bridge run and a family fun run - so there is something for everyone! We’re thrilled to announce The Sydney Marathon, presented by ASICS, as a candidate race for the Abbott World Marathon Majors (AbbottWMM). Run one of the world’s most scenic marathon courses, taking in some of Sydney’s most spectacular and historic landmarks including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

Itinerary : 

Day 01 - 12 SEP 2024 : Arrival Sydney international airport , own transfer arrangement to Hotel. Stay Mercure Sydney Central  or similar 

Day 02 - 13 SEP 2024  After Breakfast , Collect race bib during the given dates and times at Sydney Marathon Running Show venue. Free at leisure exploring Sydney City. 

Take a leisurely walk around Circular Quay, a bustling harbor area with stunning views of the harbor bridge.  Stay Mercure Sydney Central or similar 

Day 03 - 14 SEP 2024 ( SUNDAY )

Full Marathon Details :  Distance 42.195km (World Athletics Platinum Label Marathon)

Start time 7:10am (7:07am - Elite Wheelchair)

Start line cut off 7:45am

Start Location Bradfield Park, Milsons Point

Finish Line Sydney Opera House Forecourt

Course Cut Off Time 7 hours

Day 04 - 15 SEP 2024 Free & Easy exploring Sydney and surround. Consider joining optional tour to Blue Mountains or Port Stephens . 

Breathtaking natural beauty, stunning views, incredible hiking trails, UNESCO World Heritage status and indigenous culture make the Blue Mountains a must-visit destination. 

Stay Mercure Sydney Central  or similar 

Day 05- 16 SEP 2023 :  Own transfer to Sydney Airport according to departure flight back to Singapore.

• A non-refundable booking fee of SGD1,000 per person is required to secure a space. Full payment must be made upon booking confirmation.

• Family & friends may purchase the package under "Non-Runner” package subject to at least one guest being a Runner.

For slower runners, joggers or walkers, it is important to be in the correct starting group. There are three groups in each race all seeded according to expected finish time. Your time will not be affected in any way as the timing chip will only record your time from when you cross the start mats to the finish line mats. This will allow you to enjoy the event at your own pace and provide you with the best possible end result.  

As the Sydney Marathon, presented by ASICS, is run under World Athletics rules & regulations, all official results will be based on Gun Time. 

Participants will receive both Gun Time and Net Time on their finisher certificates.
