ITINERARY
Day 1 Copenhagen. Arrival in Copenhagen. Airport transfer.
Copenhagen transforms into a winter wonderland during the colder months, with a magical atmosphere that blends historic charm and festive spirit. The city's cobblestone streets are adorned with twinkling lights, while the iconic Nyhavn harbor glistens with frost-covered rooftops and reflections in the icy canals.
Day 2 Copenhagen
Take our Copenhagen small group walking tour and dive into the Danish concept of hygge. Our expert local guides will share their passion for Copenhagen with you and will uncover its most iconic landmarks. You will get acquainted with Copenhagen’s historical highlights and cultural delights on this tour. With a knowledgeable private guide, marvel at the quaint houses in the colourful canalside district of Nyhavn and see other highlights like the medieval square of Amagertorv, or Christiansborg Palace, home of the Danish parliament. Then, visit the Danish capital’s most recognizable sights and veer off the tourist trail to uncover tucked-away gems in the city’s lesser-known districts.
Join a guided classic canal tour and hear stories of the beautiful capital of Denmark. The tour around the habor and canals takes you past some of Copenhagen’s most exquisite buildings, here among The Royal Opera, The Black Diamond, BLOX and the old stock exchange building Børsen. The narrow canals through Christianshavn with small, colorful houses offers real Copenhagen-hygge with the always busy quay buzzing with life from the many cafés.
Day 3 Copenhagen
SIC Day trip to Roskilde, Frederiksborg & Kronborg - Visit the royal castles of Frederiksborg and Kronborg, and Denmark’s old capital of Roskilde on an 8-hour minibus tour from Copenhagen. Enjoy the scenic landscape of North Zealand, and the history of the Vikings at the Viking Ship Museum.
In evening, visit the festive Tivoli Gardens, where there is fun and entertainment for people of every age. Wild rollercoasters, fantastic rides, lovely cafés and restaurant and of course the amazing decorations that change with the seasons of the year.
Day 4 Copenhagen to Reykjavik by flight.
Airport transfers at both cities. Welcome to the capital of Iceland! Hotel check in.
Day 5 Reykjavik
Golden circle tour. It is a perfect Icelandic experience giving you a chance to visit waterfalls, geysers, historic sights and soak in a natural hot spring. Come explore the famous sites of Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir hot spring area. The Geysir geothermal area boasts spouting springs, including Strokkur, the most active geyser in Iceland.
In the evening, participate in Northern light tour by minibus. We follow the best aurora and cloud forecast available to optimize your chance of seeing the aurora borealis dancing across the night sky.
Day 6 Reykjavik
South Iceland adventure. Among the stops on this tour are the gorgeous Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. Seljalandsfoss is part of the Seljalandsá river, which has its origins in Eyjafjallajökull glacier. What makes Seljalandsfoss so famous and interesting is that you can walk behind it. Skógafoss, another famous Icelandic waterfall, is the starting point of the Fimmvörðuháls walk over to Þórsmörk. We will also stop at Reynisfjara black sand beach, with the Reynisdrangar rock formations and columnar basalt.
Day 7 Reykjavik
Ice cave experience. Visit a unique and remote man-made Ice Cave in Langjökull, one of Iceland's largest and most spectacular glaciers. We would drive to the lush Húsafell area with stops at Europe's most powerful hot spring Deildartunguhver and the beautiful Hraunfossar lava waterfalls. Then we head on up to Langjökull, partly in a specially modified glacier vehicle. It will take us almost to the top of the glacier, where we enter the magnificent cave. Before you realize you find yourself standing on top of a vast ice-cap, ready to enter the glacier and explore its icy underworld. The glacier guide will take you on an amazing journey, deep within the glacier where you can see the stunning blue-hued ice. Going into the glacier is an unforgettable trip which takes place in one of the world's greatest wilderness.
