Day 1: Melbourne to Yarra Valley (62km)

Collect your vehicle and depart Melbourne via the eastern suburbs to the Yarra Valley, one of the world's great wine growing regions. Numerous wineries offer cellar door tastings and sales and have restaurants serving gourmet food and fine local produce accompanied by their wine. Get close to Australian wildlife at Healesville Sanctuary, home to dingos, kangaroos, wombats and the elusive platypus (own expense).

Day 2: Yarra Valley to Phillip Island (145km)

Leave the Yarra Valley this morning and travel south to San Remo in time for the free daily feeding of the pelicans. Head over the bridge to Phillip Island. Phillip Island is a seaside getaway that offers stunning beaches, outdoor adventures and wildlife encounters. Discover the Fur Seal colony at Seal Rocks as well as the famous Penguin Parade occurring each evening at sunset (own expense).

Day 3: Phillip Island to Mornington Peninsula (100km)

Depart Phillip Island and drive around the bay to the heart of the Mornington Peninsula. Stylish Sorrento and Portsea are filled with antique shops, galleries, cafés and coastal walking trails. Heading inland, you'll find a number of boutique wineries and vineyard restaurants. The afternoon is yours to explore all that the Mornington Peninsula has to offer. Visit Flinders on the eastern side of the Peninsula and Cape Schanck, the southern most point of the Peninsula.

Day 4: Mornington Peninsula to Melbourne (80km)

Make the return journey north to Melbourne passing Melbourne's beachside suburbs. The car is booked until the following day and should be dropped off to the city or airport depot by the same time as it was picked up on day 1 to avoid any additional charges.
