Itinerary :

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Arrive at New Delhi International Airport. Following immigrations, baggage collection and customs, Tamarind Global representative will meet you at the EXIT of ARRIVAL TERMINAL building after which you would be transferred to your hotel.  On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Check in at 1400 hrs.

Delhi stands as the capital of Modern India. Here you can see the mingling of the Old and New India, the ancient and the modern. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. It is not surprising then, that what constitutes Delhi today is a conglomerate of seven cities. Delhi has seen the rise and fall of many emperors, which have left behind a plethora of monuments that commemorate the grandeur and glory of bygone ages. Very few cities in the world can express such a profusion of architectural styles.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi – Agra

Following breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a tour of Delhi. Shah Jahan founded the city of Shahjahanabad, now referred  to as Old Delhi, in 1648. The famous Red Fort in the heart of Old Delhi was once the most opulent fort of the Mughal Empire and it boasts the Diwan-i-Am, Hall of Public Audience, and the Diwan-i-Khas, Hall of Private Audience. Opposite the Fort is the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the world, built by Shah Jahan to dominate his city. Your tour will include drive past Red Fort & visit to the Jama Masjid Mosque.

Later proceed to New Delhi, and visit India Gate, drive past the Rashtrapati Bhawan – the President’s Residence, the Parliament House – the Government headquarters and other Government buildings located in the heart of New Delhi.

Following your lunch at local restaurant leave for Agra.

The city of Agra, the quintessence of the grand Mughal era, reigns to this day in the public mind as the embodiment of royal grace, imposing architecture and power. Agra is globally renowned as the city of the Taj Mahal. But this royal Mughal city has, in addition to the legendary Taj, many monuments that epitomize the high point of Mughal architecture. No tour to India can be complete without paying a visit to this erstwhile capital of the Mughals and the city of the Taj Mahal, the world's most beloved monument

Upon arrival check in at hotel, dinner & overnight stay at hotel in Agra.

Day 03: Agra – Jaipur

Morning after breakfast proceed to visit Taj Mahal (remains closed on Friday) with its perfect symmetry and romantic history. Described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love, this stunning mausoleum has be-come the de facto tourist emblem of India. It was constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his second wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

Later proceed to visit Agra Fort which is an outstanding example of Mughal architecture and the seat and stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. It was built in the late 1560`s by Emperor Akbar, with later embellishments by Jehangir, his son, and Shah Jahan, his grand-son. The gates and walls are constructed of red sandstone and the Fort is surrounded by a moat.

Following your visit return back to the hotel have lunch & then leave for Jaipur en route visit Fatehpur Sikri the deserted red sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital.  It was a veritable fairy tale city and its 'ruins' are still in a pristine condition. It is not hard to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of its grandeur.

After visit drive to Jaipur, upon arrival, you will check in to your hotel.

The city of victory, Jaipur presides over the fascinating desert state of Rajasthan and its people: surrounded by rugged hills, each crowned by a formidable fort; and beautiful pal-aces, mansions and gardens dotted throughout its precincts. The palaces and forts of yesteryear that were witness to royal processions and splendour are now living monuments, accepted quite naturally into the lifestyles of the people of the "pink city". There is a time-less quality to Jaipur's bazaars and its people. With its historical past, Jaipur revives leg-ends of the ancient Rajputs.

Dinner & overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: Jaipur

After your breakfast at the hotel. You will explore the city of Jaipur.

Drive to the ancient capital of Amer (also known as Amber) to see the fabulous Amer Fort, situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur city (uphill and downhill by Jeep).

Maharaja Mansingh, Mughal Emperor Akbar’s most successful General, started the construction of this fort in the 17th century. Before the City Palace was constructed in Jaipur, Amer was the seat of power. The fort is surrounded by fortified battlements and over-looks the Moat Lake. Ruins and remains are spread over the Aravalli hills and sprawling crenellated walls lattice the surrounding area. Ascend the fort in jeeps arriving at the main gate. Tour the chambers and hallways of the palace, famous for the excellence of its design and decoration. The town around Amber Fort consists of beautiful small temples and a step well called Panna Meena. Amer was a flourishing settlement originally occupied by the Meena tribe.

Following lunch at local restaurant, will proceed to visit other sightseeing points of Jaipur city.

The highlights of the tour include a visit to the City Palace Museum, which has a collection of Rajasthani costumes, and armory of Mughals and Rajputs including swords of different shapes and sizes with chiseled handles. Many antiques and artifacts belonging to the ruling family are housed here, including a collection of weaponry. It also has an art gallery with an excellent collection of miniature paintings, carpets, royal paraphernalia and rare astronomical works in Arabic, Persian, Latin and Sanskrit.

Photo stop at Hawa Mahal and then proceed to visit the most photographed monument in Jaipur i.e. colourful Patrika Gate.  Enjoy shopping and return to hotel dinner & overnight stay.
